Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Naam Jap Counter Online (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is used when you visit naamjapcounteronline.com.
1. Your jap data stays on your device
Your counts, malas, streaks, daily history, challenge progress, chosen mantra text, name for share cards and settings are saved in your own browser using localStorage. They are not sent to our servers and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data deletes them; you can download a backup file from Settings at any time.
2. We do not require an account
There is no sign-up, login or payment. We do not ask for your email address, phone number or location.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages they use and simple events such as “mala completed” or “share button used”. Google Analytics uses cookies and may process your IP address and device information according to Google’s privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser’s tracking settings.
4. Advertising
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense in the future. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings.
5. Sharing
When you tap “Share”, a picture and text are created on your device and handed to the app you choose (such as WhatsApp). We do not receive a copy.
6. Offline app
To work offline, the website stores its own pages and files in your browser’s cache (via a service worker). This contains no personal data.
7. Children
This website is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
8. Your choices
- Erase all jap data from Settings → Erase all, or by clearing site data in your browser.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Contact us with any privacy question.

10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
