What is the 70,000 Naam Challenge?

The challenge is simple: chant 70,000 naam in 7 days. That is 10,000 a day — roughly 93 malas of 108. You can chant any Name: राधा, Hare Krishna, Ram, Om Namah Shivaya or your own Ishta mantra. All counts from every counter on this site add up toward the challenge.

Ten thousand a day is a big number on purpose. It is enough to make naam jap the centre of your day for one week — to replace idle scrolling with the Name and to feel for yourself what the saints describe.

Start your 7-day challenge

Tap the button, then chant on any counter. Your progress for each of the 7 days appears under My progress.

How much time does 10,000 naam take?

It depends on the length of the Name and your pace. Short names like “Radha” or “Ram” can be chanted at 80–120 per minute; longer mantras are slower. The counter shows your live pace (naam per minute) during each session.

A simple daily plan

Split the day into blocks. Nobody has to sit for three hours at once:

  1. Morning — 3,000 naamChant after waking, before the phone and the news. About 28 malas.
  2. Travel & breaks — 3,000 naamOn the bus, metro, in the car (as a passenger) or during a walk. Use Focus mode and tap anywhere.
  3. Evening — 3,000 naamAt sunset or after work, with a lamp lit if you like.
  4. Before sleep — 1,000 naamFinish the day’s target in bed, softly or mentally.

Tips to finish strong

  • Set your daily goal to 93 malas in Settings so the goal bar shows exactly how far you are.
  • Turn on “Keep screen awake” and use Focus mode for long sessions.
  • Missed a target? Don’t stop. The 7-day total is what counts — make it up on the next day.
  • Tell a friend. Share your progress card on WhatsApp — chanting together keeps both of you going.
  • Quality first. Speed is not the goal; hearing each Name is. A little less with love is better than a lot without it.

Prefer something gentler? Try the 21-Day Sadhana in My progress: just one full mala every day for 21 days.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I chant different mantras during the challenge?

Yes. Every counter on this website adds to the same daily total, so any combination of Names counts toward 70,000.

What happens if I miss 10,000 on one day?

Nothing is lost. The challenge tracks the 7-day total; if you are short on one day, chant a little more on the next.

Where can I see my challenge progress?

On any counter page tap “My progress & challenges”. The 70,000 Naam Challenge card shows your total, the naam still to go and a bar for each of the 7 days.

Can I restart the challenge?

Yes. When a challenge ends, or if you stop it, a “Start again today” button appears in My progress.
